What is SKUBIQ?
SKUBIQ is a cloud-based inventory management and warehouse management solution built to streamline and optimize supply chain operations across manufacturing, distribution, and 3PL environments. Developed through extensive research and continuous iteration, and shaped by years of real customer feedback, SKUBIQ is designed to adapt to the evolving demands of modern businesses.
The Problem
Warehouse workers are always on the move. They carry small scanners, work in big spaces, and need to act fast. The old design showed too much information at once and it was hard to know what to do next. Managers had to click through many screens for simple tasks. Workers using small handheld devices struggled even more — the screen was not made for that device. There were three different types of users — managers on big screens, supervisors on tablets, and floor workers on handheld scanners. Each person needed something different.
What I Did
I started by understanding how the warehouse actually works. I talked to the team and learned what each type of user needs most during their day. A manager needs to spot problems fast. A floor worker needs one clear instruction at a time.
For the main web dashboard, I reorganised the layout so that alerts and issues appear at the top. Managers no longer have to search for problems — they show up right away.
For the mobile app, I made buttons bigger, reduced the number of steps, and used plain and simple words. For the handheld device — small screen, used with gloves, sometimes in dim lighting — I stripped it down to the bare minimum. One task per screen. Big text. Easy to tap. No distractions.
I also worked closely with the CEO, Director and leadership team throughout the project, presenting designs regularly and updating them based on real feedback from warehouse clients.
