What is GammaStack?

GammaStack builds online gaming and betting products. I joined as a Senior UI/UX Designer and worked on products including Betchief, StakeBoss, and Sparkstream Games — web and mobile platforms used by people who enjoy online sports betting and casino-style games.

Gaming users are experienced. They have seen a lot of products and they can tell right away when something does not feel right. My job was to create interfaces that felt polished, fun, and easy to use — all at the same time.

The Problem

Gaming apps have a special design challenge. They need to feel exciting and keep users engaged, but they also need to be very clear at the important moments — like when someone is placing a bet or checking their account. Too much going on visually and users lose trust. Too plain and the app feels dull and outdated.

Most users were on mobile phones, so everything had to work perfectly on a small screen. And because the market is very competitive, every detail had to feel right.

What I Did

I worked with the product and development teams to design the complete interface for each product — dashboards, game screens, betting flows, account pages, and mobile versions.

For Betchief and StakeBoss, the screens are packed with live information — odds, scores, stats, and bet options all at once. I organised this carefully so users could find what they needed fast without feeling overwhelmed. Dark backgrounds with bright, focused colours helped guide the eye to the most important parts of the screen without making it feel messy.

For Sparkstream Games, the design needed to feel like part of the game itself, not just a frame around it. I kept the UI minimal and clean. Every tap and click had to feel satisfying and instant. Winning animations and bet confirmations were designed to feel rewarding — exciting but not distracting.

Mobile was treated as the main screen from day one. I did not just shrink the desktop version. I designed for mobile first — touch-friendly layouts, swipe gestures, and important actions always within easy thumb reach.

What I learned

Gaming pushed me to think harder about what grabs attention and what should stay in the background. When every part of the screen is competing for focus, you have to make very deliberate choices. This project made me sharper and more decisive as a designer. It also reminded me that great design is not just about how something looks — it is about how it feels when you use it.
